Built for remote hiring in India

Know when an interview isn't what it looks like.

WatchHire watches for the signs of remote-interview cheating — AI copilots hidden from screen share, remote-access tools like AnyDesk or UltraViewer, virtual audio feeding in answers, and candidates quietly switching to another tab — then hands your HR team a clear report the moment the call ends.

The scale of the problem

Interview fraud stopped being rare.

Independent research and newsroom investigations now put hard numbers on what used to be a hunch. CNBC has reported hiring teams unknowingly interviewing deepfaked and proxy candidates — and analysts expect it to keep compounding as the tools get cheaper.

Figures are drawn from third-party research and reporting (Gartner; Fabric, via The Interview Guys; CNBC). They describe the industry-wide problem — not WatchHire's own results.

The problem

There's more than one way to fake an interview now.

AI copilots built to stay invisible during a video call are common and cheap. So is quietly letting someone else drive through remote-access software, or feeding in answers through a virtual audio device. Most companies have no way to know any of it happened.

Invisible

Capture-exclusion tools

Some AI assistants hide themselves from screen-share capture entirely — visible to the candidate, invisible to you.

Proxied

Remote-access handoffs

Tools like AnyDesk or UltraViewer let someone else quietly take control, or a second person answer live from off-screen.

Undetected

No tooling to catch it

Enterprise proctoring exists, but usually needs 150+ candidates and enterprise pricing — out of reach for most growing companies.

What we detect

The signals WatchHire watches for.

Named checks, not a surveillance feed — each maps to a specific way a remote interview gets faked.

AI copilots & hidden overlays

Windows set to dodge screen-share capture, or near-invisible overlays quietly feeding answers.

Remote-access tools

AnyDesk, UltraViewer, RDP and similar — a second person quietly driving the session.

Virtual camera & mic devices

Software cameras and virtual audio piping in a prepared or manipulated feed.

Deepfake & face-swap tools

Real-time face-swap or avatar software running on the candidate's machine during the call.

Tab & focus switching

Sustained switches away from the interview to another tab or application.

Identity face-match

A quick check that the person on camera matches their submitted ID — one comparison, nothing stored.

The tools we're up against

Named copilots — and the ones with no name yet.

Purpose-built interview-cheating tools now run as invisible overlays with over a million combined users, and new ones appear every week. WatchHire watches for the behaviour rather than a fixed blocklist — so it catches tools it has never seen by name.

How it works

Three steps. No training required.

Built for HR to run without any technical setup — and completely invisible to interviewers, who never install anything at all.

1

HR creates a session

One click generates a unique link for the candidate and a live watch view for the interviewer. Takes seconds, no scheduling tool required.

2

Candidate joins, with consent

The candidate downloads a small companion app before the call. It asks for consent, runs only for the interview's duration, and deletes itself the moment it ends.

Session-scoped by design — nothing persists after
3

A report is ready the moment the call ends

Every flag is summarized in plain English automatically, so your team can review a finished report — not a raw log — in under a minute.

The output

A report your HR team can actually read.

No dashboards to learn, no logs to interpret — a clear, written summary alongside the full evidence timeline, ready to print or share.

Candidate Session No Significant Concerns
AI Summary

The monitoring system recorded two low-confidence flags during this interview, both consistent with normal browser and window behavior. No high-confidence indicators of AI-assisted cheating were detected. Overall, this session shows no significant concerns worth flagging to the hiring team.

Privacy, by design

Built to respect the candidate, not just catch them.

Watching for AI copilots, remote-access handoffs, and virtual devices doesn't require watching everything. WatchHire was designed around one rule: collect only what's needed to answer one question, and nothing else.

No recording, ever

No screen recording, no keystroke logging, no audio capture. Only specific, named signals are checked — never a general surveillance feed.

Consent required

The candidate sees a clear consent screen before anything runs, and can decline.

Self-deleting companion

The desktop app removes itself automatically once the interview ends — nothing left behind on the candidate's machine.

Flags-only, not footage

What reaches your team is a short list of named signals with timestamps — never a video, never a transcript.

FAQ

Questions we get asked.

Does the candidate have to install anything?

Yes — a small companion app they run just before the call. It asks for consent, runs only for the interview's duration, and deletes itself the moment it ends.

Do interviewers install anything?

No. Interviewers work from a browser sidebar during the call — there's nothing for them to set up or install on their side.

Are you recording the candidate?

Never. No screen recording, no keystroke logging, no audio capture — only specific, named signals with timestamps. What reaches your team is a short list of flags, not footage.

What if a candidate declines?

They can decline consent and nothing runs. The report simply notes that monitoring couldn't be confirmed for that session — it never assumes wrongdoing.

How long does it take to set up an interview?

Seconds for HR to create a session, and under a minute for the candidate to download and run the companion before joining.

AI-conducted interviews, built for India

A live AI interviewer that actually asks good follow-ups.

WatchHire Interview reads a job description, designs a real first-round interview in under two minutes, then conducts it live by voice — adaptive follow-ups, conversational, role-play, or live coding formats, and a scored report the moment it ends.

The problem

First-round screening doesn't scale, and scripted bots are worse.

A 30-minute human screening call per candidate is real time from someone's calendar. Most "AI interview" alternatives ask the same fixed question list regardless of the answer — no real follow-up, no adaptive depth, and no consistent bar across candidates.

Slow

Manual first-round calls

A human screening call per candidate doesn't scale past a handful of open roles running at once.

Rigid

Scripted chatbots

Most "AI interview" tools ask a fixed list of questions regardless of the answer — no real follow-up, no adaptive depth.

Inconsistent

A shifting bar

Different interviewers — or the same one on a different day — unconsciously apply a different bar. Candidates aren't compared like-for-like.

What it does

Built to match Fabric on assessment quality — and go further on trust.

Adaptive follow-ups, scenario/role-play, live coding, and a JD-to-agent flow in under two minutes — the same bar the best answer-analysis tools hold themselves to.

JD → interview in under 2 minutes

Paste a job description; WatchHire designs the format, competencies, and question plan automatically.

Three interview formats

Conversational screening, role-play for sales/support roles, or live coding for engineering — matched to the role automatically.

Adaptive follow-ups

Vague answers get probed for a concrete example; strong answers get pushed deeper; weak ones aren't dwelled on.

Natural voice, not a chatbox

Real-time speech in both directions, with a natural on-screen interviewer persona rather than a text-only bot.

Optional resume screening

Attach a resume before the interview for a fit score, matched/missing skills, and red flags to probe live.

Fair, explicit scoring

The rubric explicitly excludes accent, appearance, and speaking style — the same fairness stance serious competitors take.

How it works

Three steps. No template library to browse.

Every interview is generated fresh for the role in front of you — not picked from a fixed bank of generic questions.

1

Paste the JD

WatchHire's AI reads it and designs a first-round interview: format, competencies, question plan, and rubric — ready in under two minutes.

Generated per role, not a template picker
2

Candidate joins by link — no login

They open a link, and the AI interviewer greets them by voice, asks its first question, and adapts its follow-ups from there.

3

A scored report the moment it ends

Per-competency scores, a written recommendation, and — if you're also using WatchHire's integrity monitor — one fused verdict covering both.

The output

A report that traces back to what was actually said.

Every score is grounded in the transcript — not a black-box number your team has to take on faith.

Priya Sharma — Senior Backend Engineer Recommended
AI Summary

Priya showed strong command of distributed-systems fundamentals and gave a concrete, specific example when probed on a past scaling incident. Communication was clear and structured throughout, and she adapted well to follow-up pressure on system design trade-offs. Recommended to advance to a technical round.

Fair, by design

Built to be fair, not just fast.

Speed only matters if the assessment underneath it is honest. WatchHire Interview is built around one rule: score what was said, never who's saying it.

No accent or appearance scoring

The rubric explicitly instructs the AI never to factor in accent, appearance, or speaking style — only what's actually said.

Transcript-grounded scoring

Every score traces back to a specific answer in the transcript — never a black-box number.

Audio processed live, not stockpiled

Voice is processed in real time to run the interview; long-term recording storage isn't part of the current setup.

Optional integrity fusion

Pair with WatchHire's OS-level monitor for one report covering both performance and honesty — something answer-only tools can't structurally offer.

FAQ

Questions we get asked.

Does this replace a human interviewer entirely?

Most teams use it as a first-round screen — it decides who advances to a human technical or culture round, rather than making the final call itself.

What if the candidate's mic cuts out or an answer trails off unclearly?

The candidate can click "I'm done answering" if automatic turn-detection doesn't catch a pause correctly — nothing gets lost.

Can it run a live coding round?

Yes — a coding format is available for engineering roles. The AI evaluates the candidate's reasoning and approach live and probes their decisions as they work.

Does it integrate with our existing ATS?

Not yet — today it's a standalone link-based flow. ATS integration is on the roadmap.

Is this the same companion app as the cheating-detection tool?

No — the AI interviewer needs nothing installed on the candidate's machine. The integrity monitor is a separate, optional layer for when you want both signals fused into one report.

Simple, per-candidate pricing
